Global Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Andrew Herman
Utilising a decade of academic environmental and conservation sciences background, Andrew is implementing strategic applications involving multiple fields to further Herming Grove's goals.
He understands the challenges faced and the level of operations planning involved for such large-scale ecological restoration projects. He previously spent years in the field ranging from the deep Amazon Rainforest, the remote Outback of Australia, and various mountain ranges of North America for his previous research.
He is also excited to bring to the team, diverse industry experience in public engagement campaigns, data analytics, project planning, private sector project management, and biosecurity.
Global Chief Marketing Officer and Founder
Marie Gin
Marie brings with her almost a decade of corporate experience in branding, marketing, and departmental management oversight over multiple companies simultaneously.
She has chosen to use her skillsets in large company level branding, infrastructure efficiency, and overall cross-industry marketing expertise for long-term investment into Herming Grove.
She is excited to bring her large portfolio of skills as an asset to an organisation that develops positive change globally, and instead of profiting off of damages to the environment, it invests its resources in repairing the planet.
National Chief Executive and Compliance Officer
Juleen Lagerweij
Juleen Lagerweij has been successfully motivating teams, advising on strategy, and system transformation for almost a decade.
As part of a core team that ignited a waste facility in Sydney, Juleen’s expertise background in Governance, Environmental Management, Marketing and Corporate Communications ensured the company met all EPA, Council and Government legislation requirements.
Juleen’s strengths lie in developing teams and processes to ensure companies are continuously evolving to stay ahead of the market. Having worked in a variety of industries, including four years working internationally, Juleen has developed the ability to ensure teams from all levels of an organisation work well together and execute the company’s vision efficiently.
Juleen believes that people and culture are what make organisations great and therefore nurturing people’s leadership, engagement, well-being and a high-performance culture are key foundations for delivering on our purposeful company vision and mission.
Chief Technology Officer
Pierre Gin
Pierre Gin brings with him expertise across a wide range of engineering specialties from over a decade of international project management.
He spent 4 years in Australia earning his Aerospace Engineering Degree at the University of New South Wales, where he won the Warwick Slade Royal Aeronautical Society Award for his Honours research project designs on a Submersible Unmanned Aeronautical Vehicle (UAV), which garnered serious attention from the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
He then spent six years in Telecommunication Engineering for projects in the remote Congo Basin of Africa as CTO, where he oversaw an 18-person team.
Upon his return to Australia, he decided to use his knowledge to make a difference in the world and push his limits in Drone Engineering with Herming Grove.
He will be using his vast experience in aerospace engineering to design state-of-the-art drone systems for use in harsh remote environments at Herming Grove.
Chief Operations Officer - US
Mike McSherry
Michael McSherry brings with him a diverse background of education and finance. Mr. McSherry attended University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree and later received his Masters of Science in Education at the University of New Haven in New Haven Connecticut, finishing among the top of his class. Throughout his career, he has gone through rigorous training that heightened his leadership and communication skills. His current roles have increased his capability to work collaboratively with team members while also being self motivated to exceed his set goals and expectations. At Herming Grove, he will utilize his skills to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations and procedures as well as lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
Chief Compliance Officer - US
Zach Simpson
Zachary Simpson brings with him legal expertise across several different fields. Mr. Simpson attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. Mr. Simpson earned his J.D. from University of La Verne College of Law in Ontario, California, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2022. He decided to apply his knowledge to make a difference in the world with Herming Grove. He will be using his management and legal experience in navigating business ventures, achieving environmental benchmarks, and ensuring statutory compliance at Herming Grove.
